The gold price chart for 2014 shows that after rallying in the first quarter of the year, gold was declining for most of 2014 and moved to a new low in the final months of the year. Overall, gold lost $17.10 (1.42%) in 2014. The yearly high was formed on March 17 at $1,392.60 and the yearly low was formed on November 7 at $1,130.40. The final close of the year was $1,183.20.
