Gold price chart for 2009 shows that after a quick decline to yearly low of $807.30 formed on January 15, gold was fluctuating along the level of $900 for three quarters. Then it gained in September-November, reaching yearly high on December 3 at the level of $1,218.30. It retraced some of this move up. The final close of the year was $1,096.20. Overall, gold gained $211.90 (23.96%) in 2009.
