Gold price chart for 2004 shows that gold was declining in the first four-five months of the year. The yearly low was formed on May 13 at $374.90. It was gaining up until November, before some profit-taking which took place in December. The yearly high was formed on December 3 at $457.80. Overall, gold gained $22.30 (5.36%) in 2004. The final close of the year was $438.40.
