Gold price chart for 2000 shows that gold was quickly gaining in the first weeks of the year. The yearly high was formed on February 10 at $318.70. In February-November gold was declining. The yearly low was formed on November 13 at $265.30. Overall, gold lost $16.00 (5.52%) in 2000. The final close of the year was $273.60.
