gold trading, silver trading - daily alerts

Market Alert

November 21, 2012, 4:35 PM

We promised to keep you updated via daily Market Alert on or after each trading day until the next Premium Update is posted regardless if a material change is seen or not, so here we are.

However, just as it was the case yesterday, we didn't see any significant changes on the market. Metals and miners rallied today, but the move was not huge and the same was the case with volume that accompanied these upswings. Normally, we might be concerned with the fact that the volume was not significant during upswings, but just ahead of the long weekend it could simply be the case that traders and investors are partly taking some time off and it is this that makes the volume be lower - not the lack of interest in the precious metals sector.

On a side note, it's good to know that we're in good company being long gold:

Summing up, we continue to believe that being long gold, silver and mining stocks from both: speculative and investment point of view, is a good idea.

As always, we'll keep you updated should our views on the market change - even if it means sending another message in several minutes.

As a reminder - our next Premium Update is scheduled for November 30th – there will be no Premium Update this week. However, we understand that because of the sharp decline in the mining stocks you might appreciate some extra updates from us. Consequently, until the next Premium Update is posted (in 2 weeks), we will be sending Market Alerts on or after each trading day regardless if a material change is seen or not. You can rest assured that you will be kept up to date. We will send out the next Alert on Monday.

In case you missed our yesterday's message, we just added a new feature for you - The ETF / ETF Ranking with over 100 gold and silver funds that allows you to rank them regarding each of the important characteristics and there are also two general rankings: one for traders and one for investors. You can access it using the following link:

Have a happy Thanksgiving holiday weekend!

Sincerely,
Przemyslaw Radomski, CFA
