The Gold Mining Stocks chart for 2008 shows that gold mining stocks were fluctuating in the first half of the year. The yearly high was formed on March 14 at 514.89. In July-October the gold mining stocks index was rapidly declining. The yearly low was formed on October 27 at 151.57. The index was gaining in the last two months of the year. Overall, the gold mining stocks index lost 106.96 points (26.13%) in 2008. The final close of the year was 302.41.
